This May, we recognize Social Isolation and Loneliness in Older Adults Awareness Month, as proclaimed by Governor Henry McMaster. Social isolation can have serious impacts on the health and well-being of older adults, affecting everything from mental health to physical outcomes. Raising awareness is an important step toward strengthening connections, supporting independence, and ensuring our older neighbors feel seen, valued, and engaged.

Donate to the ElderCare Trust Fund

The ElderCare Trust Fund awards grants to non-profit organizations that create innovative programs to help older adults live in dignity in their homes, avoiding institutionalization. To contribute to the fund, check the box on line 28 of the state income tax form.
